Do not use password x. Merge needs a real FB address for the aux window. Vardiff is automatic; the port is the difficulty floor.

How merged mining works

One ASIC hash can secure two chains at once. The miner solves a Bitcoin-style proof of work. If that hash is good enough for Bitcoin, it is a BTC share (or block). The same hash is also checked against Fractal’s AuxPoW target. Extra energy is not spent on Fractal — the second ledger rides along.

This is not Hybrid PPS+

Ports 3334–3336 are Hybrid PPS+: Fractal is credited per accepted share. Merged mining is 3340 / 3341 / 3342. There is no per-share FB while you wait. You are paid when this pool finds a BTC block or an FB block.

When a block is found

That coin’s coinbase is split, then that coin’s share window is cleared. The other coin is untouched.

  1. Finder bonus to the miner who submitted the winning share: 1 BTC or 5 FB.
  2. 1.5% pool fee of the full coinbase.
  3. Remainder by share difficulty in that coin’s rolling PROP-N window (not raw share count — vardiff cannot game it).

The window keeps the newest accepted share-diff until it sums to about two rounds of that coin’s network difficulty. A short round still pays whoever is in the window.

Beta payouts

Automatic miner send is off until hot wallets are enabled. A found block currently pays the pool treasury; the operator then sends the PROP-N split by hand. Dashboard figures (hashrate, window, best difficulty) are live.
